Lerm was speaking after both the Eagles and the EP Kings failed to deviate the class quo in the Currie Cup by staying in the First Division. But Lerm accepted the outcome, even though it meant the Leopards - who have won just one of their last 28 matchs in the Premier Division - somehow obtain to keep their elite status. "That's the system, if they beat us we were going to stay down."
